The Florida Wildlife Magazine Digital Preservation Project is professional stewardship of its historical issues for preservation and public access. The William H. Flowers, Jr. Foundation and the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida funded the digitization of the issues from 1947 through 1979. These issues are cataloged and publicly accessible on the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission repository. The Florida Game and Fish Commission published the magazine for hunters, recreationalists, and nature lovers. It is a collection of art and narratives by some of the most distinguished Florida naturalists. Digitizing this Florida treasure ensures conservancy and public access into perpetuity.
